We do not have any requirements for a certain number of posts to be a permanent member. But if you register and do not log in within two months your account might be deleted at the discretion of the admin. without notice. If members did not post for one year their accounts might be deleted at the admin's discretion at cleanups. If somebody's account was deleted, he can register again. This serves only to keep the memberlist up to date. It's not directed against somebody.
Please come up with names not too dumb. An avatar is good, also a signature. It is not forbidden to refer to your homepage in your signature unless your posts just have to be considered SPAM. In that case your posts and/or your signature and your account will be deleted.
Oh, and please mind our DOs and DON'Ts! Though I think these are self-evident, I've seen them ignored at other places:
- Be polite,
- respect others having their own views and style,
- keep your posts informative
- use PM for personal exchange
- you may inform but not argue about other forums
- don't critisize negatively only, be constructive
- don't defame anybody, even the truth can defame
- don't flame to incite wars
- keep racist and nationalist attitudes out
Your posts might be edited, moved to a 'members only' section* or even deleted at cleanups, if considered outdated or insignificant, as deemed necessary to keep this forum interesting for people who want to get information about Korat and Northeast Thailand from reading it. Please don't complain about that unless your point of view has been contorted very much. In that case an enquiring PM to KoratCat might help solve your problem faster and better than a complaining post. And never forget: A forum is not a democracy; it has to be run in common interest.
If you copy articles into the forum please state where they come from to avoid copyright infringements. It is not forbidden to quote an article as the basis for discussion.

Pictures can be posted via hotlink (img). Plase make sure they're not wider than 800 pixels for easier display unless a bigger size is of importance. In that case please open a new thread to avoid the existing thread go out of shape.
Avatars have been set to 80 x 80 pixels, is common size I think.
Uploading is possible but hotlink is better.
Linking by clicking on images, logos or banners is possible where indicated.
Downloading of Google Earth Placemarks by clicking on images, logos, banners etc. is possible where indicated. To open the file you must have Google Earth installed on your computer. Get it for free at http://www.Earth.Google.com.
