Tourism down so is income and what else does Thailand have?
People are not spending money as a result.
So why is the Baht not affected by the dollar collapse?
Admittedly fuel prices have almost halved from their peak but I don't see more transport lorries on the road.
Is the bubble going to burst here too?

Re: Strength of the Baht
My exchange rate indicator here says 44.464 Baht to the Euro. That rate will not attract tourists either.
As I remember last time 11 years ago the baht got stronger and stronger and burst.
Experts have suggested a devaluation of at least 5 % but the Bank of Thailand rejected the idea.
Probably the men in charge aren't ready for a little private business on the side yet.
