In the middle of the town in the army camp ( and horse race track) is the Suranaree Course ( 2x9 holes).good maintenance, funny course.

Tiger Club: another army course near the military airport and behind Pepsi factory. 18 holes. Not well maintained and difficult (one extra par 3 hole, called snoopy).

Rooks Korat: 18 holes, 20 km outside Korat on the way to Pak Thong Chai.
Good maintained and nice course. Had to pay 400 baht MORE than my thai partner and never came back since (principles!).

Voyage Panorama in Sikhiu. My favorite 18 hole course. Well maintained and not flat. Hole 10 gives you an eagle chance (if you play from white)

Thats not so bad - so there is some variety!

How long does it take to drive from BKK to Korat?

And how much were the green fees at those courses

250 km, and how long it takes depends on your speed. :D

Last time I played (always on weekdays):

Rooks 700 baht

Tiger 400 baht

Suranaree 400 baht

Voyage 700 baht.
(As a frequent guest I pay there actually 400 baht only)

22.3 was the latest (end year 2004)

The last 10 games all below 90 so there is still progress on my old age :D

I am not looking at handicaps anymore as I don't play competition as I did in Indonesia.
Now it is just fun although you fight with yourself.
Last week I started with an 8 on the first par 4 hole and I ended with a 84 overall score.(my absolute record :D )

shooting under 90 is great and getting an 84 even better.

i practice every week and play about once per month-I play in some local leagu competions so we need to maintain handicaps. I always liked golf as its a great way to meet people--and to get to know them :D :D :D

4 weeks ago I achieved a new personal record : 83 !!
I was so confused about that, that a couple of days later I played 96 :D
Now I am not active caused by lower back pain (the age  ),so I cannot accept any invitation :)
