GOOD ONLINE MAP OF KORAT ?
Cat, do you know where I can find a real good map of Korat, specifically the Chock Chai area, on line? I'd like some detail if possible. Thanks.

The most detailed I know is the one at http://maps.google.com/maps
Enter "Chok Chai, Nakhon Ratchasima" into the search box and enlarge with +. The displayed names of places are in thai script. But you can enter the names of villages to search in english. You can change to the satellite image or go hybrid to get a better idea. You can also let it give you directions from one place to another - sometimes at least. They are still working on it.
Click here to get the map directly for Chok Chai. But it's the map only. For the whole system with the option to change to satellite or hybrid you gotta use http://maps.google.com/maps and use search.

A list with the names of districts and villages that connect to the Google Map can be found at

Google maps do have the names of places and major streets in roman letters now. Even down to tambons.
"Hybrid" they seem to have changed to "Terrain", but that doesn't show much yet.
